Project Scope

GRCC needed to make several renovations to their campus to make things more comfortable, sanitary, and efficient for students and staff. GRCC needed to update their domestic water heater system, chiller system, and wanted to upgrade to a sidewalk snow melt system. The age of the equipment was exceeding life expectancy and capacity was at its limits. The staff and the students were having water temperature issues and comfortability issues. GRCC needed a company to take care of their plumbing, water heater, chiller and necessary piping updates in an efficient manner.

HVAC System

  • Installed air purification systems for welding booths
  • Installed new ventilation and exhaust for pottery studio
  • Removed and replaced bromine chiller system including pumps, piping, and water storage tank
  • Removed and reinstalled hydronic heating system including duct work and coils

Plumbing Systems

  • Upgraded drinking fountains to electric water coolers with bottle filling stations
  • Upgraded domestic water heater system
  • Replaced water pumps
  • Installed booster pumps

Mechanical System

  • Repaired leaks under the steam pipe main system on Ransom Street
  • Installed main campus boilers at Carriage House
  • Renovated piping system at Carriage House
  • Provided a complete snow melt system that captures heat from the condensate system
