Project Scope

MCM partnered with Turner Construction and Corewell Health Lakeland to construct the New Pavilion Building . This multi-phased project in St. Joseph, MI utilized Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and strategic planning, MCM worked with the construction manager and facility managers to successfully coordinate the build of an important hospital facility addition. The project was a new three-story, 355,000 square feet facility. The facility was completed in 2022 utilizing a $27,000,000 mechanical budget.

HVAC Systems

  • Replaced chillers and boilers
  • Added new VAV boxes with new controlsDesigned and installed a new HVAC DDC controls system to replace an outdated and aging pneumatic control system
  • Refurbished or replaced air handling units with new controls
  • Designed and installed new room pressure controls to the
    upgraded operating rooms, pharmacy, and isolation rooms
  • Installed new piping needed for changing from 2-pipe system
    to a 4-pipe system

Plumbing Systems

  • Replaced entire hot and cold domestic water piping
    system
  • Replaced R/O water system
  • Replaced entire sanitary waste system

Medical Gas Systems

  • Replaced all medical gas piping
  • Replaced medical gas outlets
  • Designed and implemented new medical gas mechanical room
