Project Scope

MCM partnered with CSM Group to construct the new Bronson Cancer Center in 2019. This project was strategically planned with the construction manager and the owner from start to finish. Bronson Healthcare Group needed a company that could provide plumbing, medical gas, HVAC, and mechanical piping systems. The project was a new five-story, 85,000 square feet facility. The facility was completed in 2021 utilizing a $8,500,000 mechanical budget.

HVAC Systems

  • Hazardous exhaust system for the pharmacy compounding area
  • Air-cooled chiller with free cooling
  • Three air handling units for the building and two for the pharmacy
  • Stair pressurization systems

Plumbing Systems

  • Natural gas, irrigation, and domestic hot/cold piping
  • Reverse osmosis system for medical and kitchen equipment
  • Storm piping and roof drains
  • Water softeners, booster pumps, mixing valves, and hot water storage tanks

Medical Gas Systems

  • Oxygen manifold with tanks and patient outlets
  • Area and master alarm panels for system monitoring

Mechanical Piping Systems

  • Four boilers for heating and domestic water heating
  • Glycol piping for air-cooled chiller and hazardous exhaust coil
  • Snow melt system
